What are the temperature requirements for PET cups during transportation

Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) is a high-performance material widely used in plastic products. Due to its excellent transparency, impact resistance and processing performance, it is widely used to manufacture various containers, especially PET cups. However, PET materials have specific requirements for temperature control during transportation to ensure product quality and safety.

The heat-resistant temperature range of PET is about 65℃ to 150℃, which may vary depending on the material formulation and production process. Therefore, during transportation, PET cups must be avoided from being exposed to excessively high temperature environments to prevent deformation, rupture or release of substances harmful to the human body. Especially in the hot summer, the temperature inside the transport vehicle may rise significantly, so it is particularly important to choose the right transportation method and packaging materials.

When transporting PET cups, it is recommended to give priority to container trucks or transport vehicles covered with canvas to provide good insulation, moisture and rain protection. This design can effectively avoid the negative effects of direct sunlight and high temperature environment on PET cups. At the same time, the interior of the transport vehicle should be well ventilated to reduce temperature and humidity, thereby ensuring the stability of the PET cups during transportation.

In addition to the influence of high temperature, low temperature also poses a threat to the transportation safety of PET cups. Although PET materials can withstand temperatures as low as -70℃, under extreme low temperature conditions, the brittleness of PET cups may increase and they are prone to breakage when impacted. Therefore, when transporting in cold seasons or regions, appropriate insulation measures must be taken to ensure the safety of PET cups in low temperature environments.

During transportation, PET cups must also be prevented from contacting with other chemicals or hazardous substances. PET materials have a certain degree of hygroscopicity and are easy to absorb moisture and chemicals in the surrounding environment, which may lead to the deterioration of material properties. Therefore, PET cups should be stored in a dry and ventilated environment during transportation, and it is strictly forbidden to store them together with lubricants, lubricating oils or other chemicals and toxic substances.

To ensure the quality of PET cups during transportation, the selection and design of packaging materials are crucial. Packaging materials should have good cushioning properties and sealing properties to prevent PET cups from being impacted and squeezed during transportation, while preventing the infiltration of moisture and air. In addition, packaging materials should also comply with relevant environmental protection and safety standards to ensure the sustainability and safety of products.
